Hot Wings {Easy 4 Ingredients}

Are you looking for a delicious protein-rich appetizer for the New Year? Or let’s be honest, a dinner idea? These hot wings are super easy to make for a party or for your family.

I’m a baby when it comes to hot foods though. I’m just not born with palate that can handle hot + spicy. Is it something you get used to? Because I love the taste of hot sauce, just not the burning sensation in my mouth. 😉 If you don’t enjoy spicy, you can always whip up some fresh minced garlic and some parmesan cheese (if you can handle dairy) It’s a flavor bomb in your mouth for sure.

My husband on the other hand LOVES hot wings. Unfortunately, it took me forever to find organic chicken wings. Two place I found them at: 1) Trader Joe’s in the frozen section + 2) Costco in the fresh meats!

While the term “organic” isn’t the most ideal term you want for meats, it’s way better than conventional. Ideally, you want “straight from a farm where it’s antibiotic free, organic, pasture + humanely raised”. Farmers markets are a great way to form relationships with farmers and buy quality meats and vegetables.

  • 3/4 Cup Hot Sauce *Your choice, I used Cholula
  • 18 Chicken Wings *Organic
  • Tapioca Flour

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a small saucepan, melt and mix together the butter and hot sauce.
  • While the hot sauce mixture is heating up, put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Lay out the wings on the sheet. Dry the wings with a paper towel.
  • Take a couple spoonfuls of tapioca flour and drizzle it over the chicken wings. Massage into the chicken wings.
  • Once the hot sauce mixture is boiling, take off the stovetop. Pour onto the pan and cover the chicken wings with it.
  • Using a spoon, mix everything together good.
  • Bake for 45 minutes. For the last minute or two, I like to turn the oven on broil to get it really crispy!
  • Enjoy!
