27 Feb Picky Eater Plates
When I found these plates, I wanted to hop + skip + jump for joy! These are THE cutest things that have ever hit the market for kids and food. And are perfect as picky eater plates! When the package came, my daughter quickly opened it up to check them out. (She is my pickiest eater, but getting a little easier day by day.) And she was like, “I EAT FOOD!” – and when you hear that coming from your picky eater, it’s like a weight lifted off your shoulders.
Making meal time fun for kids when they are picky or if you’re trying to get them to eat something new makes the process a whole lot easier. These plates create a game where they have to eat the food in each compartment and at the end, they find a covered prize/treasure! How freaking cute!
The best way to utilize these plates is to create a variety of foods in each compartment. One has chicken, the next has broccoli, the next has carrots, the next has rice, the next has chicken, etc. I love that it gives them a treat to look forward to.
Just because of this plate, my picky eater who literally would go a week without eating one green thing is eating kale and asparagus. I’M NOT JOKING. THIS IS SERIOUSLY AMAZING.
We did a giveaway on our Facebook page for these plates and I promise you – every single one of our winners (4 of them!) had their kids eating vegetables that they HATED before. This seriously makes my heart so happy because I understand the struggle with having a kid that “green things” freak them out or it looks yucky.
It also helps kids see where the “end” is. Sometimes when you load a child’s plate up with food, it can seem intimidating. You’ll get the questions….
“Can I be done?”
“Is this enough?”
This plate creates that clear ending and ‘win’ for the kids when they eat all their food. It also can help distract them from eating “the green things” to play a game. They aren’t terribly expensive either! Each plate costs less than $20 on Amazon.
They have a regular game board look, a pirate one, a princess forest one, a superhero one, etc. You have to go check these out and grab you one!! I wish I had this when I was younger.
As always, I love bringing attention to amazing products that we use in our family and that we love! Have you used one? Do you agree these are totally picky eater plates?!
