When women are struggling with painful cramps, there is a higher chance of estrogen dominance. Painful cramps can also signal there are high levels of prostaglandins.

Prostaglandins are fats that have hormone-like effects and certain kinds of prostaglandins are inflammatory, which causes the issue here!

Diarrhea

Speaking of too much prostaglandins, that’s what causes diarrhea before/during your period. You might be thinking “why the heck do I have prostaglandins if they cause so many issues?!” They are a natural result of your body stimulating to shed your uterine lining, but too much can be a bad thing.

Tender Breasts

Severe headaches can happen throughout the cycle, but commonly happen right before you start bleeding or during your bleed. This is usually due to hormones dropping and your body being sensitive to that.
