Instant Pot Applesauce

Servings: 2 Cups

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cups Water
  • 4 Large Apples Gala, Cored, *Peeled Optional
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • Pinch Cloves Ground
  • 1 Tbs Maple Syrup

Instructions

  • Put the water, cored apples, and cinnamon sticks into the Instant Pot (IP)
  • Choose manual time on the IP, set it for five minutes. Make sure the top is pointed to sealed.
  • Once the IP is done, don't vent the IP. Let it naturally depressurize.
  • Once it's done depressurizing and you can open it, throw away the cinnamon sticks. Add in the pinch of cloves and maple syrup.
  • Mix with an immersion blender or just a hand held mixer. Mix until it's all mashed up. I like to leave mine a little chunky.
  • Keep in the fridge for a week - enjoy!

Notes

*You can peel the apples if you want to make it a completely smooth texture, but I like leaving the skins on for those nutrients and fiber inside the skin.
